Post n°8: Changes of my study programme

Hi, today I'm going to talk about the things that I would like to change about my study programme. I'd like to dedicate this post to my friend Rachel Sillau because I hate the university but I love Rachel's blog, and sometimes when I'm so sad I read her blog. So if you hate university as much as I do, go and read Rachel's blog: To the moon.

Now, let's talk about the changes of my study programme. I think that subjects are okay, obviously there are subjects that I really don't like but that's something personal. Although I think that even when subjects are okay, something that bothers me is that sometimes the activities of the subjects are poorly organised for example there are projects that had been poorly explained, or things like that.

I think that there's a lot of things that we should change. First of all, I think that we should have the opportunity to choose our schedule because for example in this semmester I had an awful schedule and the worst thing about it it's that I haven't choose it. Now, about the workload and length of studies I think that we have a lot of things to do and there's no enough time, in this time of the semmester we are stressed out and that's awful to aur mental health.

About the bulding I think that we should have a place where we can buy our lunch in FACSO because here in the faculty there's just a small place that don't sell lunch, just bread or things like that. Also, I thing that the structure of the campus is so weird because it doesn't make sense, it's like they just put some buildings with no order.

I don't have too much to say about teachers of the use of technology because I think that they are ok.

So that's all for today, sometimes I'm mad about the university but today it's like a neutral day so I don't have too much to say. But don't come to FACSO, it's ugly and there's no enough toilet paper, also the elevator is always full.

Post 7: Personal opinion

Hello fans, today I'm going to talk about my personal opinion about some topics. I hope you enjoy this post and comment what you think about <3

I will start with my opinion about tattoos, I think that tattoos are okay, and to be honest I have to say that I love them, I already have two tattoos and I want my third one. I don't understand why are people that discriminate a person because he or she has tattoos, I mean, it's not your body so your opinion does not matter that much. If you don't like tattoos then you don't tattoo yourself that's all lmao. My dad doesn't like tattoos and that's why I feel bad when I pay for my tattoo with the money that he gives me (now I'm going to pay my tattoos with the money that the university gives me lol) but he knows that he can't prohibit me for tattooing myself, because it's my body.

Now, I'm going to talk about my opinion on animal testing. First of all I think that the animal testing is so sad, I know that the animals suffer because of that but also I know that a lot of things use animal testing and it's hard to find things that are cruelty free. I try to buy somethings that are cruelty free but sometimes I don't have enough money to.

My opinion about abortion it's so similar to my opinion on tattoos: if it's not your body, your opinion doesn't matter too much. I think that the abortion should be legal and to me it's so sad when people take decisions about the body of women. For example, in Alabama there's an abortion hardship and I think that it's a big mistake because women own their body and no one else should be able to take a decision (or even have an opinion)

Now finish with this post I'm going to talk about my opinion on mechoneo. To be honest I think that this tradition it's so stupid, for example I remember that I was really nervous about the university in my first year and like so many people I wanted a nice welcome and no the humiliating act of mechoneo. By the way in FACSO we don't do mechoneo (and that's really good) but in some universities the students do mechoneo and they are really violent or mean to the mechones. I also disagree with people who say things like "it's a tradition so we have to make it" To me that's wrong , I mean, no because it's a "tradition" we have to do it, there's traditions that are horrible like the rodeo in Spain or female genital mutilation in Egipto.

That was all, thank for read my blog

Post N° 6: Postgraduate studies

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about postgraduate course that I woul like to take in the future.

Actually I'm not really sure if I want to take a postgraduate course, to be honest. But I think that that's because I'm on my second year of the career and all I want to do is to finish my studies (please just give me an university degree already) but I also know that the postgraduate course are crucial because with an university degree is not enough. I know that if I want a job I'll probably need a course, so I would like to study something related to education or developmental psychology.

I would really like to do the course in another country but I don't think that it would be possible because psychology is a career that could be very different according to the country or university that teach it. But if I could choose I would love to do a course in Spain or England, I really want to visit one of that countries someday, also I would really like to visit France or Italy but the language it's a problem.

I would like to do a part-time course because I'm not disciplined so I don't think I could organize my time to do a distance learning course or something related.

Thanks for read my blog, have a nice weekend (?) :-)

Post N°5: My future job

Hi fans! Today I'm going to talk about my future job. I see myself working in an office but also I would like to be outdoors because I would like to work with kids at school, I would like to be the psychologist of the school and I would really like if I could work with the teachers of the school because I'm interested in the learning of the kids and maybe their progress.

But also I would like to work in my own consultation, I'm interested in the clinical focus of psychology so I would like to work in my office where I could attend people.

If I could travel with my job it would be really awesome, I'd like to go to Europe but I think that it's not easy to travel when you are a psychologist because psychology is a career that can be different in a country or another. I don't know if I could work in another country, but I would like to travel and learn about the psychology of different countries.

I don't expect to earn a lot of money, to be honest. I think that my salary will be fine (I hope) but I don't see myself as billionaire, obviously. It's not a problem to me, by the way.

Thinking about some major, I think that I will take something related to developmental psychology or maybe something related to the clinical focus, I'm not really sure. To be honest, I think that I have a lot of things to learn about because actually I'm in second year so I have to think about it.

That's all, bye :-)

Post N° 4: My favorite subject at the university

Hello everyone! Today I'll write about my favorite subject at the university. This semester I have a lot of subjects that I enjoy, like neurophysiology (even if I don't understand a thing that the teacher says), psychopathology and developmental psychology.

Developmental psychology it's my favorite subject because every class I think that I really learn something new that impress me, also I feel like I found a topic that really really like and could change mi perspective about what I want to do in future. The teacher of the subject is Mauricio Lopez and I really like that he usually bring some experts in other areas to make the class, for example some time ago he brings a women who works in the education and it was so interesting to hear.

I really enjoy the classes and the books that we have to read, but one of the best things about the subject is that we have to a project that include the visit (actually we have to do 4 visits) to a kindergarten and it's so exciting to have a work like that. By this time I have learned that childrens are so special, that's one of my favorite things about developmental psychology.

Post N°3: My career

Hi! Today I'm going to talk about my career. I study psychology at the Universidad de Chile, I decided to study that career because I have a lot of questions that I think I could answers through psychology. Actually I'm at my second year at the career and I still don't have the answers of my questions but someday (?)

A thing that attracted me about psychology is that I work with people, and a thing that I would like is to work with children maybe in therapy or in school. I think that the career is so versatile in the way that yo can learn about differents topics and find what you like the most.

I choose the Universidad de Chile because it's in the ranking of best university that impart psychology, also I think that the university have some kind of prestige and it's important when you are studying a career because the labor field seems to be a little difficult. Also I like that the Universidad de Chile have subjects that have a social focus even when I really like the clinical focus, I think that it's important that we have this things on mind.

Post N°2: My best concert ever.

Hello! Today I'm going to talk about my best concert ever, it was last year in the Gran Arena Monticello, the december 14th. I went to the Morrissey's concert who is one of my favorites singers ever, even if I really like The Smiths (the Morrissey's band) I think I love Moz the most. He is famous because The Smiths and his unpopular opinion about veganism and other things, he is an activist.

I went to the concert alone because I don't have any friend who shares my love to Morrissey, but I don't really care because it was so amazing and I was just fascinated by the music and the voice of Moz. The atmosphere were so nice, everybody was singing and jumping, like really feeling the music. One of the best things about the concert was that I was in the front of the stage so I literally could take his hand and take good photos (actually I see those pictures when I have some concert nostalgia jajaj). The concert was like two hours long but to me it was really really short, I wished it was a little longer.

A fun fact about that day is that I was really sick that week, I mean, I remember that the concert was the friday 14th but the wednesday 12th I had a virus and I felt really really bad, also the day of the concert I had an exam and I leave the university really late so I was like running to the concert. It was a stressful week but the concert was so good like a little catharsis jajaj

{A picture that I take that day at the concert}

Post N°1: My autobiography

Hello, my name is Carolina, I was born the 17 of January in the year 2000 so I'm nineteen years old. I'm from San Bernardo, but also I'm really close to El Bosque, so I'm in the middle. I have a brother and a sister and my parents are divorced since 2016. Also I have a nephew who is seven years old and his name is Martín, he's my sister's son.

I went to a catholic school when I was 6 years old, then when I was 12 I went to a new school project in San Bernardo, it was a new school of excellence. I studied there until I finished the high school and it was a nice school and I made good friends but it had a problem. It was a project with very little financing so we haven't a lot of things to work with, even the classrooms were slight so sometimes we were looking for a place to make the classes. But it was fun.

My hobbies are so simple, I really like to read novels, I like the fantasy novels or young adults novels like Hunger Games or things like that, this summer I read all the books of Harry Potter (well, I haven't finished all the books yet because there are so many but actually I'm reading Harry Potter and the mistery of the prince) also this summer I read "The night manager" a novel written by Jhon Le Carré, and I really really loved it because it's a genre of book that I have never read before and it was just amazing.

Besides reading, I really like to take photos and listen to music, one of my favorites singers is Morrissey and last year I went to his concert.
